This is the fourth and final post in this Fruits of The Spirit Recipe Series. I’ve been so humbled and blown away with the overwhelming support and positive response by so many-THANK YOU! Truth be told, this series was incredibly selfish in nature. It was a way to preach to myself the attributes I need to be incorporating more into my own life. It was a way to focus on the good stuff, encourage my own weary heart and lift my own head… but so many of you shared your own struggles too. Thank you for making this series so special and meaningful!
If you’re just now joining us, make sure and check out the previous posts on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and goodness! And please be gentle with me, because yours truly totally forgot to roundup recipes for gentleness…. so this final post is all about faithfulness and self-control. I don’t know about you, but I like one of those words better than the other ;).
Faithfulness
Faithfulness… the ability to count on something or someone. Who doesn’t need more faith? More of believing in something or Someone, even when you can’t see what’s ahead of you and what’s behind you or what you’re in right now is consuming you—- that’s when faith enters. And who doesn’t need more clutch recipes that are faithful to deliver delicious and nutritious results every time? *Insert these Dietitian Approved Recipes here*.
Self-Control
Self-control. Now there’s a FUN word….. #saidnooneever. But hey it’s necessary and we all know that. Self-control with food is especially hard because a healthy relationship with food shouldn’t include NEVER eating a food, but more so being able to enjoy all foods you love without going overboard. Try practicing with this recipes that definitely require self-control but pack deliciousness in every bite!
Wishing you all the closure you’re seeking for 2016 and a year ahead with new opportunities, growth and plenty of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every person who contributed to this series with your recipes and/or readership. You were prayed for every time a post was created and many times thereafter. <3 Shannon
